Reflecting on Liberalism During Trying Times: My Pessimistic and Optimistic Views

When the Cold War ended, the West was optimistic, believing that liberalism had defeated totalitarianism. Why then, is the question “Is there a future for liberalism?” the major cause of uncertainty in the first two decades of the 21st Century?
